PROJECT OVERVIEW

Zinfra delivered this project for client Australia Pacific Airports Corporation (APAC) in Melbourne, focussing on the 22kV components of a new 66kV/22kV transformer being installed by Jemena for APAC. The overall project was to support an upgrade to increase electrical capacity at Melbourne Airport.

The project scope included design, construction and commissioning, followed by energisation and integration into Melbourne Airports’ system.

Project Manager Nick Jones reported, "Works culminated with the energising of the new bus tie and critical feeders that we designed, built and commissioned. The client informed us they are very happy with the work we have done and acknowledged Zinfra’s ‘can do’ attitude.”

This video shows a 100 tonne crane lifting the 20 metre substation building into place, the culmination of extensive planning and coordination by Zinfra.
