Zinfra Water Project Manager, Spencer Walmsley, has commenced the design process for the North Pine Water Treatment Plant solids handling facility for client Seqwater.
Zinfra’s bid team spent time and effort considering the needs of Seqwater and developed an innovative solution that presented $1M in savings for the bulk water authority.
The North Pine water treatment plant project centres around the provision of two new centrifuges that concentrate solids extracted during the water treatment process. The centrifuges will be contained within a specialised dewatering building that will also house chemical dosing, solids storage and the motor control centre for the facility.
In addition to the dewatering building, Zinfra will be upgrading the existing clarifiers (pictured) and constructing a thickened sludge tank along with new roads, piping and electrical supply to service all of the equipment.
